By SRA Elite

It was another exciting weekend of racing for the SRA Elite team.  Highlighting the weekend was Kim Conley's win at the elite Husky Classic 3000 meters in a personal best time of 8:57!

Mary Cate Quiett ran an outstanding time of 2:04.91 (also a personal best) in placing 3rd in the invitational 800 meters.

Check out the race videos and Kim's post-race interview video below.

Closer to home, a group of runners competed at the Valentine's 4 mile race in Sacramento:

  • Kevin Pool (1st), 19:42
  • Cheyne Inman (3rd), 20:05
  • Michelle La Sala (6th), 25:11

Last week, at SRA's Super Bowl Sunday 10k, the team was also well-represented:

  • Lauren Weaver (1st), 35:47
  • Austin Weaver (2nd, 10k PR), 31:13
  • Cheyne Inman (3rd, 10k PR), 31:38
  • Wesley Szehner (10th), 32:43
  • Ben Rinn (11th), 32:58
  • Andrew Timmins (12th), 33:22

It was great having such a strong presence at this race!

In other news, the SRA Elite Team has added a couple new athletes.  Austin Ramos, a Jesuit and UCLA alum, will be competing for SRA Elite as he attempts to qualify for the Olympic Trials in the 10,000m.  Miguel Nuci, a 2:15 marathoner and 3rd place finisher at CIM in 2006, is also joining the team.
